Kyle Wasserberger, Ph.D.

Dr. Kyle Wasserberger is currently the Principal Sport Scientist and Coordinator of Health and Performance Research at Driveline Baseball, where he has worked in their R&D department since 2021. Before joining Driveline, Kyle graduated from Auburn University where he obtained his Ph.D. in Kinesiology with an emphasis in biomechanics. While at Auburn, he also conducted baseball and softball research in the Sports Medicine and Movement Lab under the supervision of Dr. Gretchen Oliver. Kyle’s research interests include energetic analysis of sporting movements, longitudinal changes in health, performance, and biomechanics over time, and the improvement of statistical and methodological rigor in the applied sport sciences.
Kyle is a native of Spring Lake, Michigan and a former NCAA Division III baseball pitcher and pitching coach at his alma mater, Calvin University. In his free time, Kyle enjoys bike riding, weightlifting, throwing darts, and the occasional beer and bourbon flight. Kyle currently resides in Grand Haven, Michigan with his wife, Caitlin.
