The American Baseball Biomechanics Society will be hosting a thematic poster session at the 2023 MLB Winter Meetings. We are now accepting abstracts for potential poster presentations.
In order to submit an abstract, you must:
Be a member of ABBS (membership is free at www.BaseballBiomechanics.org).
Be able to present your poster in person at the MLB Winter Meetings in Nashville, TN, on the afternoon of December 6, 2023.
Deadline
Abstract must be submitted on https://forms.gle/cArwnQWBdqc5Jhb16 by 11:59pm Eastern Time on November 8, 2023.
Format
Abstract must be a single-page Word document or pdf. It must be in Times New Roman font size 11, single-spaced, with 1” margins on top, bottom, left, and right. The abstract must include a title, authors with their degrees and affiliations, and sections for Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, and References. The Conclusion should include how this work may directly impact aspects of an MLB operation (player development, medical, in-game decision making, etc.). The one-page abstract may include table(s) and/or figure(s).
Eligible material
Almost anything is eligible, as long as it is a baseball biomechanics topic. Your abstract may be material that is currently unpublished, submitted for publication, accepted for publication, or published within the past two years. The material may have been presented previously at any conference or venue. It may have appeared in the media or social media.
Finances
There are no fees associated with attending or presenting at the ABBS poster session. ABBS provides no travel funds or other financial support for individuals to attend or present at this poster session.
